About

I qualified in 1987 as a speech and language therapist from Reading University with a BA Hons.  I am based in Burgess Hill and work mainly in Sussex but also covers Surrey.

After qualifying I worked for 10 years in the NHS specialising in hearing impairment. During that time I worked alongside audiologists and ENT Consultants which led to my current interest in auditory processing difficulties and a particular interest in children with:

Listening and attention difficulties

Speech sound disorders

Developmental language disorder

Dyslexia

Dyspraxia

and High functioning autism

Having qualified as a Johansen Individualised Auditory Stimulation Provider in 2012, I am able to offer this as one of my therapy tools.

I started working as an Independent Practitioner on a part-time basis in 1997 whilst also working for the NHS. In 1999 I left the NHS to work full-time on an independent basis and founded my own practice, SALTS Ltd, in 2003.

I have over 30 years of expertise in assessing, diagnosing and treating a wide range of paediatric speech and language difficulties and can provide a specialist paediatric speech and language therapy service that is tailored to your child’s specific needs.

I am a registered member of the following Professional organisations:

The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists

The Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice

The Health and Care Professionals Council as a Speech and Language Therapist

I have full Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks that are regularly updated.
